Two Yuga Labs leaders to be deposed amid the Ryder Ripps legal showdown

The authorized saga continues for Yuga Labs, the creator of the hit NFT mission Bored Ape Yacht membership, and NFT artist Ryder Ripps.
A federal courtroom in California dominated that two of Yuga Labs’s founders, Wylie Aronow and Greg Solano, aren’t apex witnesses and subsequently have to be deposed.
A deposition is when a person submits to a query and answering prematurely of a trial. However now, Ripps — a defendent within the case — is claiming on Twitter that Aronow shouldn’t be showing in courtroom for a deposition.

“If he doesn’t seem, Yuga will accountable for cost of any bills related to the failed deposition. The events should then meet and confer in good religion on an alternate date for the deposition of Mr. Aranow as quickly as handy,” famous the Jan. 8 submitting within the U.S. District Court docket for the Central District of California.
The authorized saga first started in June 2022 when Yuga Labs filed a lawsuit claiming that Ryder Ripps violated Yuga’s mental property by way of “copycat” NFTs. Ripps lawyered up and filed a counterclaim stating that every NFT is by distinctive by design, and so the NFTs can’t be copied.
